Layover & Connection Tips

  • The OSL Lounge (International Departures) is open 5:15 AM–8:30 PM, located airside above duty-free near Gates E2/8 — walk-in access runs around NOK 445.
  • The OSL Lounge Innland for domestic travel keeps shorter hours (7:00 AM–8:00 PM weekdays, reduced on weekends) — check timing if you're flying early or late.
  • The SAS Gold Lounge is reserved for Star Alliance or EuroBonus Gold cardholders, with a hot and cold buffet, business centre, and private phone room.
  • Free Wi-Fi covers the whole terminal, so a local SIM isn't necessary for a short layover.
  • Europe's largest duty-free shop, at 16,500 square feet, is in the departures area — worth browsing even if you're not planning to buy anything.
  • The airport is currently expanding, with a new pier and 11 additional air bridges underway — expect some signage changes as construction progresses.
  • If you're staying near the airport, the Radisson Blu Airport Hotel connects via a direct walking passage — genuinely useful during Norway's colder months.
  • Nordea bank and several bureaux de change operate in both Arrivals and Departures if you need currency on the way through.
  • Recommended minimum layover: around 1.5–2 hours given the airport's manageable size.
  • The terminal features art exhibitions, a cinema, and a library if you have downtime and want something other than shopping to fill it.
